Our Mission

Our next event is a volunteer-social Cookout-Picnic. Be sure to bring your friends, family and prospective volunteers for some good times, plenty of food and drinks!

Locally, Shenandoah Valley Equine Rescue Network is a vocal advocate for hungry and displaced horses in the Shenandoah Valley of northern Virginia. We travel to help horses in need.

Hunger isn't seasonal, which is why our year-round donation events get so much attention. Devote some of your time in volunteering and see first-hand the horses we help daily.

The hoops we jump through for horses

Horse rescues are built with different purposes in mind. Some rescues are for specific breeds, some go to auctions to purchase horses that will go to slaughterhouses, and some are for unwanted horses. Our mission is to care for abused and neglected horses and to give all resources necessary to animal control officers in order for them to seize horses in dire situations.
