Adoption Application

Before applying please read the following: 

 

You must be at least 18 to adopt a horse from SVERN, if you are not 18 please have a parent or guardian fill out this application 

 

Adopters are expected to be financially responsible for the adopted animal until the time of the animal’s death. Please do adequate research prior to adopting from SVERN to ensure you have the resources to cover the cost of the animal for its lifetime. 

 

SVERN requires a farm check prior to adoption and for this reason limits out of state adoptions, we will adopt to up to 8 hours away from our location in North-Western Virginia 

 

SVERN represents all animals to the best of our ability. PPE’s are welcome and encourage at the expense of the adopter 

 

SVERN does not allow: breeding, racing, rehoming, or selling of adopted animals. In the event an adoption does not work out, the animal(s) are to return to SVERN and the adopter may be subject to a rehoming fee depending on the circumstances. 

 

Adoptions are intended to be FOREVER if you are not in a position to provide a forever home, please consider fostering, or volunteering.
